Restore a deleted character

You have 7 days. A character you delete from your account isn't removed straight away. It waits in Recently deleted on your profile and you can bring it back from there until 7 days have passed.

Bring it back

1. Open your profile and go to the Characters tab.
2. Press Recently deleted next to the view switch in the toolbar above your characters. It only shows when you have something to restore.
3. Find the character. Each row shows its name, clan, edition and the date and time it was deleted. The newest deletion is at the top.
4. Press Restore on its row.

The row disappears from the deleted list and the character is back with the rest of your characters. The Characters back button at the top of the panel takes you back to them. If it played in a chronicle it's still in that chronicle with the same storyteller. While it was deleted the other people in the chronicle couldn't see it.

If Restore fails you'll see Restore failed. above the list. Reload the page and try once more. A character that has passed its 7 days can't come back this way.

Where a delete comes from

A character in your account is deleted from your profile. Open the menu on its row in the Characters tab and press Delete. The app asks "Delete Mira?" with your character's name, reminds you that you can restore it within 7 days and waits for you to press Delete once more.

After 7 days the character leaves the list and you can't restore it yourself any more. There's no button that deletes a character for good before then.

Characters on this device

Characters in the On this device list on the home page are different. They were never in your account. Deleting one there removes it from the browser straight away and it can't be restored.
