What does GhoulApp store and who can see it?

GhoulApp stores what you make so it's there the next time you sign in on any device. It doesn't sell your data, show advertising or run analytics or tracking scripts. The full rules are in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy in the footer. This is the short version.

What is stored

• Without an account your characters, unfinished characters and preferences stay in your browser. They're never sent to GhoulApp. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them for good.
• With an account Google or Discord signs you in. GhoulApp never sees your password. It gets your e-mail address and basic account details from them.
• What you make while signed in is stored with your account: characters, lists, chronicles, sessions, notes, maps and pictures you upload.
• In your browser GhoulApp keeps what it needs to keep you signed in, your language and your interface preferences. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Who can see what

• Your profile is public. Anyone with your profile link can see it along with the characters you've made public.
• Your characters and lists are private when you make them. You can switch a character between Private and Public on its sheet or with Make public and Make private in the Characters list on your profile. Other visitors can see a public character in the community hub, on your profile and through shared links.
• A sheet bound to a chronicle is seen by that chronicle's storyteller. They can also edit it and manage its XP. What the other members see depends on how the storyteller sets the chronicle up. Marking the character private doesn't hide it from them.
• The GhoulApp team can see private records when it's needed for support, fixing problems or dealing with abuse.

Other services

Some features load content from other services when you use them. Map tiles on chronicle maps, GIF search and YouTube videos are examples. The Privacy Policy lists every one of them. Any service that answers a request can see your IP address.

Deleting

You can delete characters and lists and delete chronicles you own. To delete your whole account see How do I delete my account?

Accounts are meant for people aged 16 and over.
