How V5 dice work in GhoulApp

Say you roll Strength 3 plus Brawl 2 with Hunger 2. You throw five dice and two of them are Hunger dice. Every die that shows 6 or more is a success. Two 10s together make a critical and are worth four successes. Every pair counts, so four 10s are worth eight. A lone 10 is a single success.
This is how the chronicle's dice tray reads a V5 roll. The roller on a sheet opened outside a chronicle works by the same rules and is explained in Roll dice from the sheet. How to open the tray and make a roll is in The dice tray.
Setting up the roll
The tray's Pool runs from 1 to 25 and Hunger from 0 to 5. Hold a plus or minus button and it keeps counting. When you build the pool from your sheet the pool fills itself and you only check it.
Hunger dice take the place of normal dice in your pool. They aren't added on top. If your Hunger is higher than your pool every die is a Hunger die.
When your character is linked to the chronicle the tray's Hunger follows your sheet. Changing it in the tray writes the new value to your sheet too. A change made on the sheet shows up in the tray. A ghoul, a revenant or a mortal has no Hunger, so the tray hides the box and there's no Rouse button. A pool taken from a sheet without Hunger shows "This character has no Hunger" in its place. A storyteller rolling an NPC sees the NPC's Hunger in that box and can't change it there.
Reading the result
The word under the dice tells you how it went. SUCCESS and FAILURE are the plain results. A clean critical reads CRIT.
When a roll is a critical and any Hunger die shows a 10 the feed marks it MESSY. The Hunger 10 doesn't have to be one of the pair. When a roll fails and a Hunger die shows a 1 it's BESTIAL. A storyteller can have the feed offer a Compulsion under a bestial failure. That's Offer a Compulsion in Dice settings.
Difficulty
In V5 the Difficulty is how many successes you need. The tray doesn't ask for it until you turn on Difficulty in Dice settings. Until then every roll only counts successes. With it on a Difficulty row from 1 to 10 appears under the pool. The result meter under the roll then shows how many you needed and how many you got. The extra ones past the line are your margin.
Rouse Checks, Willpower and Blood Surge
The tray also makes Rouse Checks, rerolls with Willpower and arms Blood Surge for you. Each of these writes to your sheet. They have their own article: Rouse Checks, Willpower rerolls and Blood Surge.
Frenzy and Remorse
Pressing Willpower on a vampire's sheet opens the Frenzy Check and pressing Humanity rolls Remorse. In the tray these show a line in place of Hunger. A frenzy roll says "Frenzy resistance: no Hunger, no Blood Surge, no Willpower reroll". Remorse says "Tracker roll: no Hunger, no Willpower reroll". The Difficulty row shows for both even with the setting off. See Frenzy checks.
What your table can decide
The storyteller can set how Rouse Checks, Specialties, Merits and Flaws and Difficulty work for everyone in the Rolls tab of Table Rules. When they do that row in your Dice settings is locked and says "Set by the table."
