The Sabbat reference

The Sabbat Reference is a rules reference for storytellers who bring the Sabbat into a chronicle. It's under At the table on the Tools page. It's a page to read. There's nothing to roll, nothing to copy or export and it doesn't change any character or chronicle.

V5 and V20 handle the Sabbat very differently so the reference keeps them apart. Two tabs at the top switch between V5 Sabbat and V20 Sabbat. It opens on V20 if that's your edition and on V5 otherwise. Contents at the side jumps to a section and Sources lists the book behind each entry.

The V5 page

It starts with Predator Types, including the pack hunting one. Paths covers the Sabbat's doctrines for antagonists and how one is changed or left. They don't replace a player character's Humanity. Ritae lists the rites in use today. Four old high rites are fading out in V5, so the page marks them as lapsing.

Antagonist stat blocks has the sourcebook's eighteen simplified blocks to read. Titles and pack roles says which of the old offices still exist in the looser V5 Sabbat. Domains and story structures shows how a Sabbat domain and a story around one can be built.

The V20 page

Sabbat ritae and Faction ritae cover the rites. They use the Sabbat-only Rituals Background and work only when a vampire with that Background leads them. Blood Bonds covers the Vinculum: the first ratings, later Vaulderies, divided loyalties and breaking a bond. Then come Sabbat ghouls and revenants and Sabbat clan and bloodline notes, which add to the V20 clans you can already pick.

Other editions

There's no Dark Ages or V6 version. Opening the reference while you're set to Dark Ages or V6 switches you to V5.

The stat blocks are for reading only. To add a ready NPC to your chronicle use Quick NPC Stat Blocks.
