NPC, location and plot generators

These generators give a storyteller something to put in front of the players tonight. Each one rolls as soon as the page opens. Roll or R gives you another. All of them work without an account.
Three of them can add their result to a chronicle you run: the NPC Generator, the Location Generator and the Plot Hook Event Generator. See Save a tool's result to your chronicle for how that works. Every result can be copied or exported and Copy link opens the same roll again. See Copy, export and share a tool's result.
How the edition changes the results
The tables follow the edition you've selected at the top of the page. A V20 NPC is drawn from the V20 clans. A Dark Ages hook or encounter comes from its own period. Rows written for V5 only stay out of the other editions.
In V5 a roll now and then comes from the Blood Sigils setting material. Those results carry extra rows, listed with each tool below. Outside V5 they never come up and an earlier Blood Sigils roll is hidden from Earlier rolls until you switch back.
NPC Generator
Rolls a person: their clan, name, rough age and disposition with a portrait. Then their Trait, Mannerism, Ambition, Motivation, Agenda, Touchstone and Sire status. A Blood Sigils NPC has Role, Motivation, Leverage, Wants, Offers and Pressure in place of Ambition and Agenda.
The portrait is a photograph looked up to match the name. A credit line under the result says where it came from.
Add to a chronicle creates the NPC in a chronicle you run with that portrait. It starts hidden from the players and its motives go into its Private Notes. If the NPC was made but its notes couldn't be saved press Retry Private Notes. A Blood Sigils NPC goes only to a V5 or Custom chronicle.
NPC Encounter Generator
Rolls a scene with someone rather than a whole person. You get their role and what they want in the scene, then what they offer, the price, the pressure they bring, a secret, a lie, a complication and what happens if the players fail. It also says the NPC's attitude and the stage of the story it fits.
Copy or export it. It isn't added to a chronicle.
Location Generator
Rolls a place: a name, its era and its street, then its Type, Modifier and Ambience. A Blood Sigils location adds Access, Supply, Opportunity, Complication, Heat and a special rule.
Add to a chronicle creates the location in a chronicle you run with a description built from the roll. Only storytellers see it and it isn't on the map yet. Place it later from the Chronicle Map. A Blood Sigils location goes only to a V5 or Custom chronicle.
Plot Hook Generator
Rolls a setup for the next session with a twist and the stakes. Blood Sigils hooks add a Faction, a Mystery and Pressure. Copy or export it.
Plot Hook Event Generator
Rolls a five-beat arc for a session: an opening, the inciting event, a complication, a reveal and the stakes at the climax. Some arcs add a beat about a market, a danger, an acquisition, a mystery or a pursuit. It also names the faction, an element and the stage.
Add to a chronicle creates a plot thread that only storytellers see. Its title is the opening and the other beats go into its summary. It starts at the seed stage. This one works only with V5 chronicles. Nothing else in the chronicle changes.
Masquerade Breach Generator
Rolls a breach of the Masquerade from Tier 1 - Suspicious up to Tier 5 - Catastrophic. You get the trigger, the witness, the evidence left behind and how the sects or hunters respond. Tier 1 comes up most often and Tiers 4 and 5 are the rarest.
It serves V5, V20 and V6. Its tables are about phones, cameras and modern sects so there's no Dark Ages version. If you open it while set to Dark Ages it switches you to V5.
Copy or export the breach. To track breaches over a chronicle use The Masquerade clock. It rolls from these same tables and logs each breach on your chronicle's timeline.
Boon Debt Generator
Rolls a debt between two Kindred: its size (Trivial Boon, Minor Boon, Major Boon or Life Boon), who owes whom, where the favour came from and where the debt stands now. Trivial boons come up most often and Life boons are rare. Clan names follow your edition, so a V20 debtor can be a Follower of Set where a V5 one would be from the Ministry.
Copy or export it. To keep track of real boons use Boons in your chronicle.
