Do the tools use AI?

No. Every tool rolls its results in your browser from tables that come with the app. No language model is used anywhere on the Tools page or in a chronicle's generators. That holds in every edition.

A roll is a random pick from those tables. Most results can be made again exactly from their link. That's how Copy link under a result can send someone the very thing you rolled and how your recent results open again unchanged.

The face on an NPC from the NPC Generator or Quick NPC Stat Blocks is a photograph of a real person, looked up from a photo library. The line under the result credits where it came from. No picture is drawn by an image generator.

A chronicle's own generators can also use custom entries you add yourself. Those are saved with the chronicle. Each one can carry a weight so it comes up more or less often. An entry you add without a weight counts as 2 and a higher number makes it come up more.
